Elizabeth Ripple was born in Mahoning Township, PA in May of 1869. In the 1880 Census she was living with her parents and siblings in Mahoning Township, PA.
On 23 Apr 1895 she married James Earl Laughlin. Four years later she is widowed. The 1900 Census indicates she is head of the household, widowed, a dressmaker and her young son lives with her.
The 1910 Census further indicates that she has lost a child, but her surviving son lives with her along with her widowed sister-in-law and a border. Lizzie owns her home and works as a seamstress.
In the 1920 Census Lizzie continues to work as a dressmaker and her son lives at home.
The 1940 Census shows that Lizzie now lives with her widowed brother Sidney. Lizzie died in 1947, but no details have been discovered as yet.
