Adaline Ripple was born 10 March 1871 in Mahoning Township, PA where she grew up living with her parents and siblings. Addie married James Gilman Fairbank in Baltimore on 26 September 1893. There are some indications that this may have been her second marriage. (research continues)
The 1900 Census shows that Addie is married living with her husband, but has no children. Addie's sister Elizabeth Laughlin and her son James also live in the same household in Baltimore, MD.
In the 1910 Census Addie is married living with her husband and son (she has also had another child, Charles, that is deceased), and keeping house in Baltimore. Nothing has changed by the 1920 Census.
The 1930 Census indicates that Addie is a widow, working as a dressmaker in Baltimore; her husband died the year before.
By the 1940 Census Addie is living with her son. On 12 December 1946 Addie died in Baltimore, MD.
