Our Story

Grace R. Duvall died July 4, 2000. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Duvall. She is survived by a daughter, Joan D. Workman, and her husband, Glenn; sister, Doris R. Smoot; brother, Robert Ripple, and his wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Cecelia Ripple; grandson, Jeremy D. Workman, and his wife, Cindy; and granddaughter, Susan Mandy Workman.

Mrs. Duvall graduated the University of Maryland in 1927 with a degree in home economics. She worked for the National Geographic Society as a dietician where she played an instrumental role in planning the meals for various expeditions.

Vewings were held at the Lee Funeral Home in Clinton July 6. Mass of Christian Burial was held July 7 at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Upper Marlboro with interment in St. Thomas Episcopal Church Cemetery in Croom. (Obituary)
